Fall Swim 2026
As summer comes to a close, we're excited to look ahead to another great season with the Glen Oaks Sea Lions! This fall, we will be offering one swim session as we prepare for an exciting improvement to our facility. Our pools will be replastered this winter! To help make registration as convenient as possible, we'll continue to offer payment plans along with discounted early registration rates. We are also exploring the possibility of offering dryland training during the pool closure and will share more information as soon as those plans are finalized. Our session will run August 24th- November 20
Why Fall Swim?
The Sea Lions Fall program is a great way for swimmers to stay active and in the water even while participating in other fall sports. Swimming is a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular health, builds strength and endurance, and promotes flexibility. For younger swimmers, it also enhances motor skills, balance, and posture. Swimmers who participate in our fall and winter sessions consistently show noticeable improvement when summer season begins. The extra time in the water helps reinforce technique, build endurance, and maintain feel for the water, giving our athletes a strong head start and greater confidence as they head into summer competition.
What sets our Fall program apart?
Our Coaches! Our coaches are not only experienced professionals—they’re actively engaged on deck, offering real-time feedback and personalized instruction. Many of our coaches have extensive backgrounds in competitive swimming, both as athletes and as long-time coaches. They bring years of expertise in stroke technique, race strategy, and athlete development at all levels. From beginners to high level competitors. Their passion for the sport and dedication to each swimmer’s progress creates a supportive, motivating environment that encourages growth, confidence, and a love for swimming.
Do you have a swimmer who has never swam?
Anyone new to swimming will need to participate in a brief swim assessment so our coaches can place them in the workout group that best matches their skill level and experience. This assessment also helps us determine if the swimmer is ready for the swim team. The assessments will be held at Glen Oaks on August 24th at 4pm. Please let us know you will be coming by filling out the below google form. You will not need to register your swimmer until after the assessment.
Who is the Jr. Sea Lions program tailored for?
Any new and developing swimmers, especially those ages 8 and under. Please note: This is not a swim lesson. Swimmers must already be water safe, able to use a kickboard independently, perform basic freestyle drills, and follow a coach’s direction. If your swimmer cannot swim a 25 yard freestyle in under 30 seconds, you will need to be registered for the Jr. Sea Lion group. This groupis the perfect first step for young athletes to begin their swimming journey! ** Please note that if we do not get enough Jr. Sea Lions registered, we will not be able to move forward with this session.
